the title to this post could be a song for the soundtrack of my life. it’s where I’m at most days, but particularily in the field of creativity.
I’ve said it all too many times so I won’t continue with it, but time eludes me. I am gaining quite a bit more balance with life now that my wee one is 9 months old. there is finally a chance to understand that crazy word: ‘routine’ that all those baby advisors tell you about from day 1. and trust me, it wasn’t easy. both the wee one and myself had to figure lots of things out before we fell into the lap of ‘routine’. I can understand now why people talk about it so much when parenthood arrives..it’s so much easier to maintain a little bit of sanity when ‘routine’ is kicking around!!
so I’ve had some wonderful people approach me about some custom orders in the last few months. these are understanding, loving and appreciative people who know what I do, love what I do, and respect these moments of crazy that a new mom occasionally has. it’s a beautiful thing.
above is a photo of a current ongoing project on my hands. I call them cells. more like, big, fuzzy, wooly stitched circles on circles. a perfect pile of creative projects that I can pick up when time allows.. stitching an edge, adding a little flair, or tacking on more cirles…the person who has requested them had left colours up to me which is a nice bonus. They would like about a dozen, so I’ve cut out more than I need and maybe if I have some leftover from the order, I can post them into my shop later on. (which is a whole other story about time management! hey, this is progress, friends!! hahaha!)
more soon! xo
The whole family just got back from a nice visit to my hometown of Edmonton. We had a grand time visiting with some fantastic old friends, lots of good love-time with my Mum aka: Nana Rue and some well-deserved r&r.
I also had lots of fun scouring the antique malls and my mothers basement for heaps of fun, vintage kitchenwares! Hooray! I totally satiated my obsession with vintage pyrex and brought home 2 extra boxes packed full and sent on the bus. I covet these goodies so much and now dream of the amazing kitchen I will have sometime in the near future where I will display all these goodies. Hahahaha!
Happy Springtime everyone. Lots of love from all of us! XO!
New additions to the “we shall live here” series to be listed in shop soon. I’ve struggled with the lighting, time and aesthetics of these pieces this time around so I may call it wraps to this series soon. (I still have ideas for bigger pieces in this same theme also)
so we shall see what happens. but in the meantime I have 2 edited photos of all 6 pieces here:
we shall live here #'s 11, 12, & 13
we shall live here #'s 14, 15, & 16
That’s it for today but I assure you I will be posting again very soon.
Cheers all! xo
I am at about 13 weeks.
Awe, disbelief, exhausted, overwhelmed, excited, overjoyed, intrigued, curious, and exhausted best describes how I feel these days.
I promise once that energy comes back there will be more posts & more entertaining news. But until then… XO!

The last 2–3 weeks have been nuts. And I don’t mean good nutty necessarily..I mean, pack-up-your-bags, your-boxes, your-life and find-a-great-new-home-real fast, kind of nuts.
The mister and I have succeeded in finding a new home that works for our needs. It is bright, it has a nice view, and is mere steps away from a big park with a lake full of geese and ducks. We’re moving back to East Vancouver, and somehow, that too, feels really good. Lots of new bright photos are guaranteed.
So this is my excuse for not posting more often here on this blog and that too will change once we settle into this new home. Lots of things, I feel will change along with a new home..and at this point I anticipate the changes – no matter how out-of-control I may feel at times.
So – I will be currently M.I.A. for the next week or so. We lose our internet service tomorrow (the big move day) and should be ready to go with a new modem and shiny new internet service come this time next week..!
Until then friends, I thank you for reading and the comments. I look forward to setting up shop again and being back to “normal” in no time.
Have a wonderful weekend and here’s to warm weather ahead! (Happy Birthday Mum!)
Love: me. xo!
